For motor repair and rewind shops
Electric motor repair shop software: the nameplate, the readings and the winding data, kept with the motor
RewindTicket is electric motor repair shop software for small rewind and repair shops that keeps each motor's nameplate, every job ticket from intake to pickup, the test readings taken on the bench, and the winding data from each teardown, so the next time the same motor comes in, its history is already there.
No card needed. $29 a month after the trial, not an ERP quote.

Job board
Which motors are waiting on a yes, which are in the oven, and which nobody has picked up
The whiteboard, but it knows the customer, the tech and the date. Ready motors past your unclaimed limit are flagged. Techs see only the jobs assigned to them.

Intake by nameplate
Copy the nameplate once. Find the motor by serial forever.
A smudged job card can't tell you which tagged motor on the floor is whose. The motor record can.
- Make, model, serial
- Find it again by serial, the customer's asset tag, or your shop tag
- HP or kW, volts, FLA
- Full-load amps as stamped, including dual-voltage plates like 230/460
- RPM, Hz, frame
- NEMA or IEC frame as written on the plate
- Enclosure
- ODP, TEFC, TENV or explosion-proof
- Service factor, insulation class
- Class B, F or H, for the rewind and the test voltage
- Bearings
- Drive end and opposite end numbers, so the bearings are ordered before teardown
- Nameplate photo
- Taken on the phone at the counter, for when the plate is painted over or worn
Motor test readings
Incoming, after rewind, final: every reading on one report
| Stage | Test | Reading | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Incoming | Insulation resistance | 1.8 MΩ @ 500 V | Fail |
| Incoming | Surge | Phase B-C mismatch | Fail |
| After rewind | Insulation resistance | 2,000+ MΩ @ 1000 V | Pass |
| After rewind | Winding resistance | 0.412 / 0.414 / 0.413 Ω | Pass |
| Final | No-load run | 7.9 / 8.0 / 7.9 A | Pass |
Insulation resistance (megger)
Megohms to ground at the test voltage, incoming and after the rewind.
Polarization index
The 10-minute over 1-minute insulation reading; a low ratio points to moisture or dirt.
Winding resistance
Ohms per phase; phases that don't match point to a shorted turn or a bad connection.
Surge
Phase-to-phase waveform comparison for turn-to-turn faults a megger can't see.
Hipot
High-potential test to ground after the rewind, at the voltage your procedure sets.
No-load run
Amps per phase, voltage, and bearing noise and temperature on the test stand.
Vibration
Overall level on the run test, for the customer's records.
Each reading carries its stage, test voltage, unit, pass or fail, the date and who tested it. Print the report for the customer's maintenance file.
Motor winding data
The winding data sheet, filed against the motor instead of in a binder
When a customer's motor comes back five years later, nobody should be counting turns off a burnt coil. Record the teardown once, with a photo of the old paper sheet.

At the counter and the bench
The counter, the bench, and the plant that owns the motor
Owner
All plansEverything: customers, motors, every job, quotes, test readings, winding data, settings, team and billing. On a small shop, also the counter and the bench.
Technician
All plansSees the jobs assigned to them, logs test readings, writes up the work, moves their jobs through testing, repair, rewinding and final test, and adds winding data.
Service writer
Crew and PlantThe counter: tags motors in, copies nameplates, opens jobs, records quotes and approvals, checks motors out at pickup. Can't delete anything.
Customer contact
PlantA maintenance contact at a plant, farm or water utility you serve: their own motors, job status, promised dates and test reports. Read only, no internal notes, no winding data.
From the counter to the pickup shelf
One ticket follows the motor through the shop
- 1
Tag it in
Find the motor by serial or tag, or copy the nameplate once. Open the job with the reason for service and the customer's PO.
- 2
Test and quote
The tech logs incoming megger and surge readings. The counter records the quote and the day the customer said yes.
- 3
Repair or rewind
Work performed, winding data from the teardown, readings after the rewind and on the final run.
- 4
Ready, then out the door
The ready date starts the unclaimed clock. Pickup records who took it and when.
Pricing
A monthly price on the page, not a sales call
Each plan opens with 30 days free, and you don't enter a card to start. Motors, jobs, readings and winding data are unlimited on all three. Yearly billing is 12 months for the price of 10.

Up to 12 staff logins: owner, service writers and technicians.
Plant

Before you switch
Before you move the job cards over
- What does electric motor repair shop software need to track?
- At minimum: the customer, the motor's nameplate (HP, volts, amps, RPM, frame, enclosure, serial), the job from received to picked up, the quote and when the customer approved it, the test readings at each stage, and who picked the motor up. A rewind shop also needs the winding data from the teardown kept against the motor. RewindTicket covers those and leaves invoicing to QuickBooks or whatever you use now.
- Is RewindTicket motor rewinding software?
- It's where you keep the rewind job and the winding data, not a winding design calculator. Record slots, poles, coils, turns per coil, wire size, wires in hand, coil pitch, connection, leads and core length from the teardown, with a photo of the old data sheet. When the same motor comes back, the data is on its record. For redesigns and conversions, keep using EASA's tools or your own sheets.
- How do we keep motor winding data so we can find it again?
- Against the motor, not in a binder. In RewindTicket each motor has its own winding data history, dated and signed by the winder, and you can find the motor by serial, customer tag, shop tag or nameplate. Old paper sheets can be photographed and attached to the record.
- What test readings should a motor repair job record?
- Most shops record insulation resistance (megger) and often polarization index on arrival, winding resistance per phase, a surge comparison, then the same tests after the rewind and a final no-load run with amps per phase. RewindTicket lets you log each reading with its stage (incoming, after rewind, final), test voltage, unit, pass or fail, date and who tested it, and prints them as a test report.
- Can our customers see their own motors?
- On the Plant plan, invite a customer's maintenance contact. They sign in to see only their company's motors, the status of each job, promised and ready dates, and test reports. They never see internal notes, other customers, or your winding data. RewindTicket doesn't send texts or emails to customers on status changes.
- What happens to motors nobody picks up?
- When a job is moved to ready for pickup, RewindTicket stamps the ready date. After the number of days you set (30 unless you change it), the job board flags the motor as unclaimed, so you know who to call before the shelf fills up.
- Does it replace MotorBase or a full shop ERP?
- No. RewindTicket is the job ticket, test sheet and winding file for a shop of 2 to 15 people, at a monthly price. It doesn't do accounting, payroll or inventory. If you already run QuickBooks for invoices, it sits beside it.
